The jungfrau region closed officially on 22. of April. I guess it is time for a little winter recap. I’d say we learned quite a lot, made probably more progress with taking pictures than with snowboarding. Following the 10 shots we loved most of the entire season.

Our favorite restaurant on the Grindelwald First side is the “Alpwäg”. It lies on one of the slopes down to Grindelwald. It is less expensive as it’s rivals, has amazing drinks and the sun chairs are just perfect. The natural atmosphere given by the Eiger north face and the sunset over Männlichen make it the perfect spot for the first apres-ski drink..
Number 8:
The talented Märtä in one of his rare sessions in the pipe at White Elements Park in Grindelwald. It is my favorite shot of the pipe. Too bad the pipe melted away a bit too early last season. Hope it will last longer next season. Anyway, the White Elements Crew is doing a fantastic job, thanks for that!

Park and Colors. Nice example of a colorful rider. And the bonk is quite nice, too. Hope to see that bonk again next season at White Elements Park in Grindelwald First.
Number 5:
I like the composition of that picture. It just shows the feeling we often have in the mountains (at least when you are off the beaten track). The feeling to be the only one on earth. Especially with the clouds covering all the human infrastructure around, it feels and might even look a bit like untouched mother nature. At least that’s what comes into my mind when I watch that picture and the almost lost person in it..
Number 4:
Alban was always telling me about this spot where the snow stays good just a bit longer than on other places of the Jungfrau region. And there was supposed to be enough place to ski there all day without crossing other lines too often. I wasn’t too sure about that rumor, since it is reachable within not more than a 10 minute walk. And still, he was right. This one was taken at around 3pm and people were freeriding here all day. Picture taken at Männlichen / Kleine Scheidegg, Jungfrau Region.
Number 3:
Even tough we spent quite a lot of time in the White Elements Park this season, we didn’t get too many pictures out of it. For one thing its quite hard to get a stunning picture, for the other side because we were both just focussing on riding that stuff by ourselves (which doesn’t mean we were good at it, but it’s at least good fun).
Number 1 and 2:
Those are my two favorite pictures of that season. I just couldn’t decide which one I liked more. Both were from the same insane run of the freeskier Alban Hayoz in the Männlichen / Kleine Scheidegg region. Besides his good skills which you definitely can see, there was just the perfect light with the shadows helping emphasize the steepness of the terrain. The rocks who help to create this intense atmosphere and some slush (at least in one) got on the picture as well. That was actually the first question he asked. Not if the pictures were good, if he threw a good line or how it actually looks, no he asked if I captured a bit of slush too..
